Artist Profile :
I have painted and drawn for as long as I can remember but only took it up seriously on retirement from primary teaching, where art had always played a vital part in teaching and display work. I now had time to develop my skills. I paint in watercolour, pastel,encaustic and mixed medium. Encaustic is painting with molten beeswax using low heat tools and heat tray to produce exciting effects. For the last ten years I have used my artwork to raise money for the local children's hospice and a percentage of any painting sold will help this charity. As I have enjoyed painting this picture I hope that anyone viewing it will gain some pleasure.
