Artist Profile :
Started some 45 years ago as an illustrator and architectural artist, but career changes and life, sent me in a different direction. Now retired, I've turned again to the challenge of art expression. With a love of wildlife, I started off with sketches, drawings and illustrations of animals and birds. The advent of computers and digital art, has taken me off in another direction and now able to scan, digitise and print my own original works, is a great challenge indeed. Commissioned recently for sketches of Edinburgh for a 2006 Calendar, takes me back to my pen & ink roots and I am in the process of producing illustrations of some favourite well known and some not so well known scenes of Edinburgh. I have printed some of the originals off separately for this gallery. Coloured pencil, felt tip, crayon and ink feature mostly on the originals which are scanned and may be listed at times on this gallery. Recently won The Honourable Mention AWARD at the BIRD2005 International Wildlife Award held in Beijing this summer.
